the ark shall be
300 cubits...

I establish
my covenant.

the egg shall
be gathered.

I have counted
the days.

the world as

waters were

off the Earth.

And the raven
returned not
again unto
Noah anymore.
箱舟には戻らなかった
Also he sent
forth a dove from him.

But the Earth
was still seas...
地は水のみで
…as it had
been in the beginning,
before the dry
land appeared.
陸が現れる以前のようだった

no rest
for the sole
of her foot.
For the waters
are on the
face of the
whole Earth.
全地が水で足を置く場もなかったのだ
Eat of the
grain
and renew thy
strength.
餌を十分に食べよ
For in seven
days I shall send
thee forth
again.
7日後に、また飛ばす

And the dove
came in to him
in the evening…
…and lo, in
her mouth was
an olive leaf,
plucked off.
夕方、戻った鳩の口にオリーブの葉があった

rudder and a sail.
舵と帆を作り
For now we
know that the waters are
abated from
the Earth…
…and we can
find land.
水を渡って陸地を探そう

shall discover the winds,
and what
rudder find our course?
舵や帆が何の役に立つか
The breath of
God
shall divide
the waves…

safety.

And the ark
rested in the seventh
month, of the

said in his heart:
主は心に言った
“I will not
again curse
the ground for
man's sake.
「二度と人の故に地を呪わない
While the
Earth remaineth,
seed-time and
harvest…
地のある限り、種まきと収穫…
…cold and
heat, summer
and winter,
and day and night…
暑さと寒さ、昼と夜は
...shall not
cease.
やむことはない
The waters
shall no more become
a flood to
destroy all flesh.
水は再び、破滅の洪水とはならない
I do set my
bow in the cloud.
雲の中に虹を置く
And it shall
be for a taken
between me and
the Earth.
我と地との間の契約の印に
It shall come
to pass
when I bring a
cloud…
我が雲を起こす時
... the bow
shall
be seen in the
cloud.
虹は雲の中に現れる
And I will
remember my covenant
which is
between me and you.
And every living
creature of
all flesh.”
その時、我は思い出す、汝とすべての生き物との契約を」
