Amphitheater　円形演技場　Predawn　未明

A security guard exits the booth

and stops in front of a yellow gate

警備員が小部屋から出てきて、黄色のゲートの前で立ち止まる。

with a round sign that reads:

Lane Closed.

丸い看板には「車線閉鎖」と書かれている。

The security guards wave their arms

at the oncoming car.

警備員たちが向かってくる車に手を振る。

Guard 1（警備員1）：

Sow down.　

速度を落とせ。

Hey, slow it down.　

おい、減速しろ。

 

Guard 2（警備員2）：

Hey, hey, hey, hey.　

おい、こら、おい。

Ian drives the red convertible quickly,

crashing through the gate.

イアンが運転する赤いオープンカーが速い速度で

ゲートを壊して通り抜ける。

Sarah looks back at the security guards.　

警備員たちの方へ振り向くサラ。

The car runs through the amphitheater.

There is still construction equipment

on the dirt floor.

土の地面には作業用の設備がまだ残る円形演技場を通り抜け、

Ian drives the convertible through on opening

into the animal containment room.

イアンは、動物の保管室の入り口からオープンカーを運転して通り抜ける。

Above the opening is a sign that reads: Jurassic Park.

入り口の上には、「ジュラシック パーク」と書かれた看板がある。

The car skids to a stop

in the middle of many cage and boxes.

たくさんの檻や箱がある真ん中で滑って止まり、

Ian and Sarah jump out of the car.　

車から出るイアンとサラ。

Sarah Harding（サラ・ハーディング）（Julianne Moore）：

There it is.　

いたわ。

 

Sarah runs to the cage

containing the baby t-rex

and opens it.

サラは赤ん坊のTレックスが入った檻を開ける。

She checks its eye.　

目をチェックするサラ。

The t-rex is securely muzzled

and motionless.

Tレックスはしっかりと口輪をされ、動かない。

Sarah Harding（サラ・ハーディング）（Julianne Moore）：

He's sedated.　

薬が効いてるわね。

Really heavily.　

それもひどく。

Give me a hand.　

手を貸して。

 

Sarah runs to the convertible

carrying the baby t-rex.

赤ん坊のTレックスを抱えて車へ走るサラ。

Ian follows her

and opens the door of the convertible.

イアンが後に続きオープンカーのドアを開ける。

Dr. Ian Malcolm（イアン・マルコム博士）（Jeff Goldblum）：

Uh.　なあ。

Hey, when the adult sees that

it's us once again with his baby,

uh, isn't he gonna be like, "You?”　

You know.

また僕たちが子供を持っている姿を、

こいつの親が見たらやばいんじゃないのか

「またお前らか」ってね。

 

Sarah climbs into the back seat.　

後部座席に乗り込むサラ。

Dr. Ian Malcolm（イアン・マルコム博士）（Jeff Goldblum）：

There may be some, uh, angry recognition.

すごくおっかない顔をしてさ。

 

Ian climbs into the front seat

and starts the car.

イアンは運転席に乗り込み、車を動かす。

Sarah Harding（サラ・ハーディング）（Julianne Moore）：

Who knows?　

どうかしらね？

He may be just happy to see us.　

もしかしたら再会を喜ぶかもよ。

 

Two security guards arrive

and point their guns at Ian and Sarah.

2人の警備員がやって来て、イアンとサラに銃口を向ける。

Guard（警備員）：

Hey!　おい！

What the hell do you think you're doing?　

一体何をやってるんだ？

 

Ian closes his door

and turns towards the guards.

ドアを閉め、警備員たちの方を向くイアン。

Dr. Ian Malcolm（イアン・マルコム博士）（Jeff Goldblum）：

We’re taking the kid.　

子供を連れて行くんだよ。

If you really wanna stop us…

そうしても止めたいって言うのなら…　

shoot us.

撃ってくれ。

 

Ian reverses the car

out of the containment area.

イアンは車をバックさせ、保管場所から出て行く。

Sarah Harding（サラ・ハーディング）（Julianne Moore）：

How will we find the adult?　

どうやって親を見つけるわけ？

 

Dr. Ian Malcolm（イアン・マルコム博士）（Jeff Goldblum）：

Uh, follow the screams.　

悲鳴のするところを追えばいい。

Car / Street　車／通り　Predawn　未明

A blonde haired woman screams.　

金髪の女性が悲鳴をあげ、

She reverses her car down a street

and backs into another car.

車をバックさせて、後ろの車に激突する。

Pedestrians flee.　

通行人は逃げ惑い、

The t-rex runs down

the middle of the street after them.

Tレックスは通りのど真ん中を走って追う。

The t-rex bites the traffic light.　

信号機に噛みつくTレックス。

A bus drives into the intersection.　

その交差点にバスが走り込んでくる。

 

Passenger（乗客）：

Come on!　おい。

 

Bus Driver（バスの運転手）：

I…　わ…

Passenger（乗客）：

Go faster!　

もっとスピードを出せ。

 

Bus Driver（バスの運転手）：

Get to the other side of the bus!　

バスの反対側に移るんだ！

 

Passenger（乗客）：

Faster!　速く行け！

 

The bus driver honks the horn.　

バスの運転手が警笛を鳴らす。

The t-rex runs up next to the bus and side

swipes it crushing in the front right side.

並走してバスを追いかけるTレックス。

バスに体当たりをかますと、バスの右サイドがぺちゃんこになり、

Passengers fly out through

the glass of the windows and doors,

on the other side of the bus.

反対側の窓ガラスが割れ、乗客が飛び出る。

Video Store / Street　ビデオ屋／通り　Predawn　未明

Two customers enter a Blockbuster video store.

客が2人、ブロックバスター・ビデオに入って来る。

The damaged bus crashes into

the video store.

そこにバスが突っ込んでくる。

Pedestrians run down the street

to get away from the t-rex.

通りでは人々がTレックスから逃げ惑っている。

One man cuts left to go inside a building.

1人の男が左に曲がり建物の中へ入ろうとする。

The t-rex spots him and pursues him.

それを見つけて追いかけるTレックス。

The t-rex bites him

and bangs the screaming man

down on the pavement

before it eats him.

叫ぶ男にTレックスが噛みつき、道路に落としてから食べる。

Ian and Sarah pull over.

They spot the t-rex.

イアンとサラがTレックスを見つけ車を停める。

Dr. Ian Malcolm（イアン・マルコム博士）（Jeff Goldblum）：

There!　いた、

There!　いた、

There!　いたぞ。

 

Sarah Harding（サラ・ハーディング）（Julianne Moore）：

Oh, my God!　大変よ。

 

A car skids through the intersection.　

彼らの前の交差点を車が滑って行く。

The t-rex runs through the intersection.　

交差点を走り抜けるTレックス。

Cars skid and fishtail.　

車が後部を振りながら、滑っている。

Ian pulls the car into a UNICAL gas station

where the t-rex approaches.

Tレックスが向かっているユニカルのガソリン・スタンドに行き、

He stops the car.　

車を停めるイアン。

Sarah Harding（サラ・ハーディング）（Julianne Moore）：

He's too drugged, he won’t do anything.　

薬が効き過ぎよ。動かないわ。

 

Dr. Ian Malcolm（イアン・マルコム博士）（Jeff Goldblum）：

He’s never gonna know we have it

if the thing won't make some kind of sound.

親は子供がここにいることに絶対気づかないぞ、

何かしらの音を出させないと。

Sarah Harding（サラ・ハーディング）（Julianne Moore）：

Come on, wake up.　

ほら、起きて。

Come on.　Come on.　Wake up.　　

ほら、起きるのよ。

 

Sarah shakes the baby t-rex

as she holds it in the back seat.

サラは後部座席で、赤ん坊のTレックスを揺する。

The t-rex stares at the convertible

growling ferociously.

車を見つめて、獰猛なうなり声をあげるTレックス。

Sarah looks up.　

サラが顔を上げる。

Sarah Harding（サラ・ハーディング）（Julianne Moore）：

He knows.　

気づいたわ。

Ian looks at the t-rex.　

Tレックスを見るイアン。

The large UNICAL 76 logo ball

rolls past them.

ユニカル76の大きなボールが転がって、彼らの前を通り過ぎる。

Ian backs out of the UNICAL station

with the t-rex in hot pursuit.

ユニカルから車をバックさせて出るイアンの後を激しく追うTレックス。

The t-rex flips a minivan

as it runs after the convertible.

ミニバンを跳ね飛ばしながら、車を追う。

Ian drives as Sarah looks behind them.

イアンは車を運転し、サラが後ろを見る。

Sarah Harding（サラ・ハーディング）（Julianne Moore）：

Ian.　イアン、

Ian, slow down a little.　

イアン、速度を落として。

 

Dr. Ian Malcolm（イアン・マルコム博士）（Jeff Goldblum）：

Uh…　ああ…

 

He looks back.　

振り返るイアン。

 

Dr. Ian Malcolm（イアン・マルコム博士）（Jeff Goldblum）：

I don't think so.　

嫌だ。

 

Police vehicles, with sirens blaring, and

a San Diego County Dept. of Animal Care and Control vehicle

approach the t-rex.

サイレンを鳴らしたパトカーと、サンディエゴ郡動物保護局の車が来るが、

The t-rex roars at them,

and they turn back the way they have come.

Tレックスが吠えると、来た道を引き返していく。

Ian drives the convertible

quickly past warehouses.

倉庫の横の道を飛ばして走るイアン。

The baby t-rex wiggles and wails.

赤ん坊のTレックスはもがいて鳴き声をあげる。

Sarah Harding（サラ・ハーディング）（Julianne Moore）：

This guy's almost fully awake.　

子供がほとんど意識を取り戻したわ。

Do you know where you're going?　

行き先は分かってるの？

Dr. Ian Malcolm（イアン・マルコム博士）（Jeff Goldblum）：

Yeah.　ああ。

The water front's right

on the other side of these warehouses.

この倉庫のちょうど裏の波止場だ。

Sarah Harding（サラ・ハーディング）（Julianne Moore）：

Is there any way through?　

抜け道はある？

 

Dr. Ian Malcolm（イアン・マルコム博士）（Jeff Goldblum）：

Oh, God.　おっと。

There could be.　たぶんね。

 

The convertible crashes through a warehouse wall

skidding to a stop.

車は倉庫の壁を突き破り、滑って止まる。

Ian jumps out of the convertible.　

車から飛び降りるイアン。

Dr. Ian Malcolm（イアン・マルコム博士）（Jeff Goldblum）：

There we go.　

さあ、行くぞ。

 

Ian runs around the back of the convertible

to open the passenger door.

イアンは車の後ろを回って、助手席のドアを開ける。

Dr. Ian Malcolm（イアン・マルコム博士）（Jeff Goldblum）：

You have to follow me now.　

ちゃんとついて来るんだぞ。

 

Sarah Harding（サラ・ハーディング）（Julianne Moore）：

Okay.　分かった。

 

Dr. Ian Malcolm（イアン・マルコム博士）（Jeff Goldblum）：

Here we go.　よし。

 

Ian takes the t-rex from Sarah.　

サラから赤ん坊のTレックスを受け取るイアン。

 

Sarah Harding（サラ・ハーディング）（Julianne Moore）：

Okay.　ええ。

Yeah.　いいわ。

Got him?　持った？

Dr. Ian Malcolm（イアン・マルコム博士）（Jeff Goldblum）：

Yep, yep.　ああ、よし。

 

Ian runs with the baby t-rex.　

赤ん坊のTレックスを抱えて走るイアンに、

Sarah runs after them.　

サラが続く。

 

Dr. Ian Malcolm（イアン・マルコム博士）（Jeff Goldblum）：

There we go.　行くぞ。

Ready?　いいか？

Sarah Harding（サラ・ハーディング）（Julianne Moore）：

Where's the rex?　

レックスはどこ？

Is it still behind us?　

まだ後ろに来てるかしら。

Suddenly the adult t-rex

crashes through the wall

突然、Tレックスが壁を突き破って入ってきて、

and runs after Sarah, Ian and the baby t-rex.

サラ、イアン、赤ん坊のTレックスの後を追う。

Ian and Sarah go into

another part of the warehouse.

イアンとサラは隣の倉庫に入る。

The glass wall shows

a silhouette of the t-rex.

ガラスの壁にTレックスの影が映る。

Dr. Ian Malcolm（イアン・マルコム博士）（Jeff Goldblum）：

There's the water!　

海が見えたぞ！

 

Ludlow’s Car / InGen Dock　ルドローの車／インジェン社の船着き場

Predawn　未明

Ludlow talks on his car phone.　

自動車電話で話すルドロー。

Peter Ludlow（ピーター・ルドロー）（Arliss Howard）：

Shoot it.　撃て。

Shoot it.　撃つんだ。

Tell them to shoot it.　

撃てと言え。

 

Ian and Sarah run down

the dock towards the ship

イアンとサラは船に向かって船着き場を走り、

and past Ludlow’s parked car.

ルドローの車の横を通り過ぎる。

Peter Ludlow（ピーター・ルドロー）（Arliss Howard）：

No!　違う！

No, you idiot!　

違う、馬鹿もん！

The adult.　

親だ。

Shoot the adult.　

撃つのは親だ。

I want the baby back alive!　

赤ん坊は殺すなよ。

 

Ludlow tosses his car phone on the seat

自動車電話をシートに投げ捨て、

as he gets out of the car

and runs after them.

車から出て彼らの後を追うルドロー。

 

Deck of Ship　船のデッキ　Predawn　未明

Ian and Sarah

run up a plank to the ship’s deck.

船の甲板へ続く厚板を駆け上がるイアンとサラ。

The baby t-rex wails.　

赤ん坊のTレックスが鳴く。

Ludlow runs up after them.　

すぐ後にルドローが続く。

He reaches the ship’s deck

and looks around.

甲板にたどり着いて辺りを見回すルドロー。

Peter Ludlow（ピーター・ルドロー）（Arliss Howard）：

Dr. Malcolm!　マルコム博士！

 

Ian and Sarah run from the cargo hold.　

船倉から出てきて走るイアンとサラ。

Peter Ludlow（ピーター・ルドロー）（Arliss Howard）：

What have you done with it?　

何をやったんだ。

I want that infant!　

あの子を返せ。

Ludlow runs after Ian and Sarah.　

イアンとサラの後を走って追うルドロー。

They jump over board into the water.　

船から海に飛び込むイアンたち。

Ludlow runs to the railing

and looks over board.

ルドローは手摺りのところまで走り、下をのぞき込む。

 

As a helicopter approaches,

ヘリコプターが近づき、

he hears the baby t-rex wailing

from the cargo hold.

赤ん坊のTレックスの鳴き声が船倉から聞こえる。

Cargo Hold　船倉　Predawn　未明

Ludlow steps down into

the cargo hold apprehensively.

不安げに船倉へ降りて行くルドロー。

Peter Ludlow（ピーター・ルドロー）（Arliss Howard）：

Are you there?　

そこにいるのかな？

 

Ludlow reaches the bottom of the cargo hold

and finds the muzzle.

船倉の底に着くと、口輪を見つける。

He smiles at the baby t-rex

on the other side of a mesh fence.

金網フェンスの向こう側にいる

赤ん坊のTレックスに笑いかけるルドロー。

Peter Ludlow（ピーター・ルドロー）（Arliss Howard）：

Oh.　ああ。

There you are.　

ここにいたのか。

 

Ludlow squats down

and the baby t-rex growls at him.

ルドローがしゃがむと、赤ん坊のTレックスは彼に対してうなる。

He pushes aside the mesh fence

and approaches the baby t-rex.

金網フェンスをのけて赤ん坊のTレックスに近づき、

The adult t-rex enters the cargo hold

as Ludlow chases the baby.

追いかけていると、船倉にTレックスの親が入ってくる。

The baby quickly runs past Ludlow to its father.

赤ん坊はルドローの横を通り過ぎて父親のもとに走る。

Ludlow turns around

振り返ったルドローは、

and sees the adult t-rex right in front of him.

目の前にTレックスの親がいることに気づく。

The adult t-rex roars ferociously at Ludlow

who backs up.

ルドローに向かって獰猛に吠えるTレックスの親。

後ずさりするルドロー。

Peter Ludlow（ピーター・ルドロー）（Arliss Howard）：

Wait.　Wait.　Wait.　Wait.　Wait.　Wait.　Wait.　Wait.　Wait.

待て、待て、待て。待て。待て。待ってくれ。

Ludlow tries to pass around the t-rex.

Tレックスの横を回って逃げるルドロー。

It bites Ludlow’s legs

as he makes a break for the stairs

to get out of the cargo hold.

船倉から出ようと階段を上る途中で

Tレックスの親がルドローの足に噛みつき、

Ludlow screams

as the t-rex, biting him, carries him

and drops him on the floor.

叫ぶルドローを床に引きずり戻す。

 

Peter Ludlow（ピーター・ルドロー）（Arliss Howard）：

Wait!　待ってくれ！

Ludlow limps away from the two rexes.

The adult t-rex nudges Ludlow

from behind with its nose.

足を引きずって逃げるルドローの背中を鼻で突くTレックスの親。

Ludlow falls to the floor and crawls to escape.

床に倒れたルドローは、這って逃げる。

 

Peter Ludlow（ピーター・ルドロー）（Arliss Howard）：

Wait!　Wait!　Wait!　Wait-wai…

待て！待て！待て！待て！待…

The baby t-rex leaps on Ludlow.

ルドローに飛びかかる赤ん坊のTレックス。

Ludlow screams.　

叫ぶルドロー。

The adult t-rex roars.　

Tレックスの親が吠える。

 

 

Deck of Ship　船のデッキ　Predawn　未明

A helicopter flies overhead.　

ヘリコプターが船の上を飛び、

Police cars pull into the dock area.　

パトカーが船着き場に到着する。

Sarah climbs up the stairs to the ship’s deck

carrying a tranquilizer gun.

麻酔銃を持ったサラが階段を上り船の甲板に出る。

Ian rushes to the electric panel.　

電動パネルへと急ぐイアン。

He presses a large red button

that is labeled “close”.

彼は「閉める」と書かれた大きな赤いボタンを押す。

As the cargo hold doors begin to fold down,

船倉の扉が閉まり始め、

the adult t-rex pops its head up and roars.

Tレックスの親が頭を少し出して吠える。

Sarah takes a dart from her teeth

and loads the tranquilizer gun.

口にくわえていたダーツを麻酔銃に込めるサラ。

She takes aim and shoots her dart

before a sniper on the helicopter shoots it.

彼女はTレックスに狙いをつけ、

ヘリコプターの狙撃手が撃つ前に、ダーツを発射する。

The dart hits the adult t-rex in the neck.

ダーツはTレックスの親の首に当たり、

The t-rex roars loudly

as it lowers itself into the cargo hold.

Tレックスは大きな叫び声をあげて船倉に戻っていく。

Ian breathes heavily and looks at Sarah.

肩で息をしながらイアンはサラの方を振り返る。

The cargo hold doors close firmly.　

船倉の扉が完全に閉まる。

 

 

 

Apartment Room　アパートの部屋　Night　夜

A television shows a live CNN picture

of the S.S. Venture moving through the ocean.

テレビの画面には海を進むS・S・ベンチャーが

CNNの生中継で映っている。

Bernard（バーナード）：

There’s a really first-rate shot

of the deck of the ship,

and the cargo hold that,

見事な船の甲板と船倉の映像です。

for the moment anyway,

contains the animal itself.

現在もこの船倉の中にはあの恐竜が入っており、

Presumably with the infant alongside.

Ian sits on the couch

with his arm stretched out behind Sarah.

A group of stegosaurs walk near the t-rexes.

その横をステゴサウルスの群れが闊歩している。

Pteranodon soar in the air

over the stegosaurus.

その上空にはプテラノドンが空を舞い、

One pteranodon

lands on a bare branch of nearby tree

and lets out a loud screech.

1頭が近くの木の枝に降りてきて、大きな鳴き声をあげる。
