of the East Asian World

後漢(ごかん)Later Han dynastyの滅亡fallから唐末(とうまつ)the end of the Tang Dynastyに至る680余年の間During the 680-odd yearsに、中国Chinaは魏晋南北朝(ぎしん・なんぼく・ちょう)Northern and Southern Dynasties of the Wei and Jin dynastiesの分裂時代the period of divisionと、隋(ずい)Sui・唐(とう)Tang世界帝国world empiresの時代eraとを経験する。

During the 680-odd years from the fall of the Later Han dynasty to the end of the Tang Dynasty, China experienced the period of division between the Northern and Southern Dynasties of the Wei and Jin dynasties and the era of the Sui and Tang world empires.

Classical Chinese culture, which had been established by the Han dynasty, took root not only in North China but also in Jiangnan in the era of division.

In the Han nation of Jiangnan, it is characterized by literature and art, and in the northern nation of North China, it is characterized by laws and systems.

隋(ずい)Sui・唐(とう)Tangはその両者を融合集大成merged and compiled both of themし、イランIran・インドIndia等の西方異種の文化different cultures of the Westを受け入れたので、その文化that cultureは一段と飛躍a leap forwardをとげた。

The Sui and Tang dynasties merged and compiled both of them and accepted the different cultures of the West such as Iran and India, so that culture made a leap forward.

It was further accepted by the surrounding nations, and the East Asian cultural sphere was established centering on the Tang Dynasty.

It was also during this period that Buddhism, which had been accepted through the Western Regions during the Later Han dynasty, spread throughout Chinese society and then to surrounding areas.

After the fall of the Later Han dynasty, China went through the separation of Wei, Wu, and Shu, and unification by the Jin Dynasty, leading to conflict between different ethnic groups (the 16 kingdoms of the Five Hus, the Northern Dynasty) and the Han people (Eastern Jin, the Southern Dynasty). Han culture permeated not only the south but also the north.
