イラン文明Iranian civilization

前4世紀 the 4th century BC、ヘレニズム時代the Hellenistic periodの初めthe beginning、西アジアWestern Asiaから中央アジアCentral Asiaにかけての地域the regionはセレウコス朝the Seleucid dynastyによって領有occupiedされた。

In the 4th century BC, at the beginning of the Hellenistic period, the region of West and Central Asia was occupied by the Seleucids.

この形勢に変化を与えたのが、前3世紀中ごろthe middle of the 3rd century BCから強大powerfulとなったイラン系のパルティアthe Iranian Parthiaで、セレウコス朝the Seleucid dynastyをシリアSyriaに圧迫pressedし、前1世紀末the end of the 1st century BC以後、地中海沿岸the Mediterranean coastを統一unifiedしたローマRomeの東進the eastward advanceを阻止blockedし、メソポタミアMesopotamiaの争奪を繰り返した。

What changed this situation was the Iranian Parthia, which became powerful from the middle of the 3rd century BC, and pressed the Seleucid dynasty against Syria.

After the end of the 1st century BC, it blocked the eastward advance of Rome, which unified the Mediterranean coast, and repeatedly fought over Mesopotamia.
